Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy explains what personal data My Daily Oracle collects, what for, and what your rights are. Data controller: the owner of Digital Impact, a sole trader, identified in section 1 of the Terms and Conditions. Contact: joao@digitalimpact.pt.
What data we collect
Account: email and, optionally, name (when you create an account).
Date of birth, if you enter it in the dashboard: it is used to work out your sign.
Readings: the question you write, the cards drawn and the interpretation generated.
Questions to the reader: what you ask after a reading, and the answer.
Journal: the notes you write in the dashboard, about the card of the day or about a reading. Only you read them: we do not show them to anyone, nor send them to Anthropic.
Card of the day by email: if you ask for it in the dashboard and confirm it in the email we send you, we use your email to send you the card every morning, and we record when you gave that consent. You can stop receiving it whenever you want, in the dashboard or through the link at the end of each email.
Technical data: IP address and browser type, for security and abuse prevention.
Cookies: see the section below.
What we use the data for, and on what legal basis
Providing the service (generating and showing readings, managing your account) — performance of a contract.
Personalising the readings: with an account, each guide reads the last readings they gave you (and the questions you asked them) before a new reading, so they can remember you. Only the same guide, only in your account — performance of a contract.
Preventing abuse and limiting free readings — legitimate interest.
Usage analytics (Google Analytics) — only with your consent.
Who processes your data (processors)
We use providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and authentication (hosted in the EU).
- Anthropic — generates the readings and the readers' answers; the readers are artificial intelligence characters. Your question and, with an account, your previous readings with the same guide are sent to Anthropic for this purpose (servers in the US). Do not write sensitive information you do not want to share.
- Resend — sends My Daily Oracle's emails (account confirmation, password reset and, if you ask for it, the card of the day). It receives your email address and the content of the message (servers in the US).
- Hetzner — website hosting (Germany, EU).
- Google Analytics — usage statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Cookies
Necessary (always on): the login session, a cookie that keeps track of free readings (mt_free_used) and, for one day, one that keeps the free reading you did without an account, so it can be moved into your account if you create one (mt_leitura_anon). They keep the site working and cannot be turned off.
Analytics (optional): Google Analytics, only turned on if you allow it in the banner. You can change your choice at any time under “Manage cookies” in the footer.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. Readings and technical records are kept for as long as needed to run the service and prevent abuse. You can ask for deletion at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, write to joao@digitalimpact.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Portugal, the CNPD (cnpd.pt), or the data protection authority of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
